L.A.B. by Ternovskaya is an emerging fast growing fashion brand. It was launched in 2015 in Crimea by two sisters, Olga and Anastasia. The naming for the label was alleged to be one that reflects their original philosophy: Live and Believe. To live with your eyes wide open, respect and absorb the beauty of the environment, select the best fabrics to embody all daring creative ideas. Olga’s designs encoded the aesthetics acquired from her motherland, Crimean peninsula.
For the creators of the brand, the place of power is the native peninsula: the Black Sea, which fills with freshness and energy, the Crimean mountains and rocks, reminiscent of the power of the earth, and, of course, the variety of plants and colors of nature.
Key items in the L.A.B. by Ternovskaya collections are coats, pantsuits and dresses. Behind the seeming simplicity, there are intricate tailoring elements, details and textures that give strong tactile emotions.
Over the years, the L.A.B. by Ternovskaya brand has conquered new fashion territories: the markets in Ukraine and Azerbaijan, as well as Latvia and USA. In 2018, the international platform NJAL (an online community that connects independent designers with consumers) selected the brand from thousands of others and honored it with the desirable heading ‘Black Sheep’. Moreover, since 2021, the brand has become an official resident of Ukrainian Fashion Week, representing its ready-to-wear collection on a main catwalk.
